E-Kanban module with Put to light
With the special developed e-Kanban module from KBS, automatic fill level detection can be integrated seamlessly into existing or new Pick-by-Light systems. Themodule is intended to facilitate the process of electronic material replenishment for eKanban systems in order to reliably avoid out-of-stock situations due to a lack of material.
The technology hereby used enables precise and continuously monitoring of the container fill level with only one sensor per flow rack channel and automatically reports a replenishment message to higherlevel system if the number of bins in the flow rack falls below a defined minimum number. The combination with a put-to-light module with a bright eye-catching lamp supports a fast and safe refilling process by visually indicating the refilling requirements on the flow rack.
